Insomnia
I was having only four to five hours’ sleep a night for the last 14 years. This all changed five months ago. I was recommended to Simon at Cleartalking who transformed my sleeping pattern. Through talking about my issues and simple but effective tasks and skills, my sleep has improved greatly. I now have six to seven hours’ sleep most nights and feel so much better for it.

Arachnophobia
I had three sessions with Simon, regarding a severe issue with arachnophobia. I was literally off the scale with a deep rooted fear of these things. If I was to score my fear from one to 10, I would have been at a 1000.
After an initial consultation and the three sessions I am now completely dialled down from this phobia and can very comfortably deal with the pesky things when I see them. They are never going to be a creature that I like, however, I can be in the same room as them and I can get rid of them without panicking, having to get someone else to deal with them, or leaving the house until someone gets home to deal with it. This is certainly not something I could do prior to my sessions with Simon.
I feel as though these sessions have been life changing. I cannot recommend him enough.

Anxiety
I was introduced to Simon at Cleartalking at a particularly difficult time for me emotionally. Anxiety, stress and lack of self-worth were taking their toll and prescribed medication was only going so far to keep me on an even keel. It only took a couple of sessions to see a marked improvement and by the end of the course I find myself in a much better place, with an understanding of the techniques I need to use to cope.

Depression
Following diagnosis and treatment for Prostate Cancer I found myself getting depressed and worrying over a number of issues; I was also drinking an excessive amount of alcohol. Once I realised what was happening, I sought help and was referred to Simon at Cleartalking.
Between March and May, I had a number of sessions with Simon. He didn’t attempt to address all of my concerns at once, but explained the ways in which the mind tries to respond to things, and how it was possible to 're-adjust.' He gave me a number of 'homework exercises' after each session, adding to and building upon the previous session and by the time we were halfway through the sessions I had lost my depression and reduced my alcohol consumption to an acceptable 'social' level.
By our last session I was able to inform Simon that my wife had noticed a change in my manner, she commented that we both seemed happier.
I am committed to the 'routines' that Simon has developed for me and would strongly recommend him to anyone who has similar concerns to those that I had.

When I first met Simon, I was in a place where I had lost confidence in myself, I had goals I wanted to achieve but I didn’t really know where to start to make them achievable.
Simon broke down my goals and helped me prioritise them. My first goal was to get fit and lose some weight for my holiday. Simon talked to me about starting small and building myself up to regular exercise. He then talked to me about the importance of having morning rituals.
Simon made me accountable for my actions by making me tell people about my goals. This made me change my mindset as I felt I didn’t want to let those people down.
